StressScan: Automated NDT for Rolled Metal Integrity

Control of the distribution of internal stresses of the metal is carried out by an automated non-destructive testing unit in the flow of the unit, without reducing its productivity. The equipment must provide 100% control along the entire length of the rolled metal and discrete scanning along the width of the rolled products. Based on the results of the control, each sheet should be assigned the Fit/Defective status. The equipment should provide visualization, storage, printing of the inspection results of each sheet in the form of cartograms with digital and color display of the level of internal stresses along the width and length of the sheet with reference to the coordinate and inspection protocols. The results of measurements of the level of internal stresses should correlate with the values of deviations from the flatness of the rolled metal after its dissolution into strips (laser/plasma cutting).
1. Strip thickness, mm: 4.0-16.0
2. Strip width, mm: 900 – 1850
3. Vibration in the control area, mm: not more than 2
4. Strip speed on the unit, m/min: 10 - 60
