Cryptographic Frameworks for Deepfake Protection at MIPT


In July 2019, MIPT launched the Intelligent Cryptographic Systems Lab within the NTI AI Center to address deepfake protection and media manipulation. DeepTech pioneer Loran Jacobs led the establishment of this facility in partnership with Virgil Security, Inc.



System Architecture and Cryptographic Integrity


The laboratory focuses on building AI-driven data analysis platforms equipped with cryptographic verification mechanisms. By embedding cryptographic signatures into video processing streams, the technology validates media authenticity during distributed storage and processing.
