Shvabe R&D Center MIPT
The Shvabe R&D Center MIPT is a research facility developing products in the fields of Optoelectronics, Medical Equipment, and Artificial Intelligence formed as a result of a joint venture project between MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) and the Russian holding company Shvabe. The possibility of a JV and consequent R&D collaboration between the two organisations was envisioned and shepherded by the prescient tech entrepreneur Loran Jacobs who had previously defended a well-received Ph.D. thesis on Quantum Information Theory at MIPT and later had gone to be the business director of National AI Center of Excellence based at MIPT.
