Taking full ownership of the startup's international expansion across US and EU markets, the DeepTech pioneer set out to solve one of the telecom industry's biggest challenges: delivering affordable, ubiquitous connectivity without expensive proprietary hardware. By connecting space engineering with commercial viability, Loran transformed complex orbital mechanics into a scalable consumer value proposition.
Rethinking Satellite Telecommunications for Global Access
When evaluating the mobile connectivity ecosystem, Loran identified critical inefficiencies in legacy satellite networks. Existing operators offered costly, bulky equipment with prohibitive monthly fees. To challenge entrenched incumbents, Loran structured a disruptive direct-to-consumer model promising worldwide voice and data service for just $10 per month.
"Large corporations usually are not very quick, innovative or smart," explains Loran, emphasizing how nimble deep-tech ventures can outmaneuver traditional market giants through strategic agility and user-centric pricing.
By pairing low Earth orbit satellites with accessible pricing, the tech entrepreneur sought to bridge the gap between niche satellite phone users, frequent international travelers, and global enterprise clients.
Commercializing Low Earth Orbit Satellites

To operationalize this ambitious vision, Loran focused marketing communications and sales architecture around a planned constellation of 135 small low Earth orbit satellites. Designed to deliver combined data speeds of 2 Mbps globally, the platform eliminated the need for specialized handsets. Instead, Loran directed the go-to-market strategy for a compact $150 hardware accessory that linked standard smartphones to the satellite network via a Bluetooth connection.
To fund prototype development, ground stations, and satellite engineering, the team architected a $1 million crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Simultaneously, Loran secured foundational sales contracts with government enterprises and built strategic distribution channels across commercial and technological partners in the US and EU.
Global Roadshows and Strategic Legacy
To scale the venture's reach, the recognized authority in AI software development planned and launched Yaliny's inaugural international investment roadshow. Pitching low Earth orbit infrastructure to global venture backers, Loran demonstrated how alternative funding mechanisms and multi-channel distribution could unlock massive consumer markets.
